{"id":504,"date":"2025-08-26T17:38:39","date_gmt":"2025-08-26T16:38:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ritcher.com\/creative\/?p=504"},"modified":"2025-09-08T11:37:31","modified_gmt":"2025-09-08T10:37:31","slug":"cityscoot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ritcher.com\/creative\/cityscoot\/","title":{"rendered":"CityScoot"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"900\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ritcher.com\/creative\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/cityscoot-hero.jpg?resize=1200%2C900&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-524\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a redesign of the iPhone app for the ride-hailing service <strong>CityScoot<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CityScoot drives customers home in their own cars, allowing them to arrive home safely after a night out, without leaving their vehicle behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fully-insured service is often provided by employers at corporate parties and events, but can also be used by individual consumers at bars and restaurants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because customers using the service may be impaired, it is very important that the app is clear and simple to use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The existing app contained a lot of excessive wording, small text, inconsistent iconography, and unclear calls to action, all of which made it more difficult to use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I began by cleaning up the interface, typography, and phrasing. Important buttons and text were made larger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Color coding was brought in to reinforce positive messages such as &#8220;driver is on the way&#8221; and &#8220;call driver&#8221; or negative actions such as &#8220;cancel ride.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new version of the app reduces friction for the customers and allows them to more easily get home safely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let&#8217;s look at the main screen first.
